My husband just came in from the field and he smells so good! He has been cutting the very fragrant Grand firs today. The Grand fir Christmas trees have soft, shiny, dark green needles about 1” to 1-1/2 “ long; the needles when crushed, give off a citrusy smell. We do not harvest these trees until December as they do not have the needle retention like the Fraser fir. These will be the first Grand fir Christmas trees going to Florida and should be standing on your nearest Jacksonville retail lot by this Tuesday (12/09/2014), or you can call the Retail office and ask which lots will have them available. Their number is 904-384-8034 Monday – Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
